Aim: This seminar aims to give the library's users a general idea of what the World Wide Web is, and how users can benefit the most from it, when searching for information. Users will also be informed about how to best use search and meta search engines and how to evaluate a Web source. |
Learning Objectives: By the end of the seminar attendants will:

Learning Methods: During the seminar there will take place a general presentation on World Wide Web and a more analytical presentation on the most popular search engines. Users will also be asked to do a searching exercise. Lastly, there will be given time for questions and feedback. A combination of multimedia will be used and attendants will be encouraged to interact with in order benefit the maximum from what they are presented with. |
