  • I am not a library member. Can I be one?

You can be a member of the library if you are:

1.a student enrolled at the University

2.an employee of the University

3. a visiting, honorary and emeritus Professor

4.a visiting and honorary fellow

5. an honorary lecturer

6. an associate tutor

7. a research associate

A Town Academic Library ID card and enrolment form are required to join membership

  • How many books can I borrow and for how long?

1. You can borrow up to 6 books for one week if you are an undergraduate student or an employee of the University

2. You can borrow up to 6 books for two weeks if you are a postgraduate student, or if you belong to any other of the membership categories mentioned in the previous answer.

  • How many times can I renew my loans?

All members of the library can renew their loans up to two times, provided :

  • they don't have any overdue loans
  • the material on loan has not been requested by someone else
  • the material on loan does not belong to the short loan collection
  • Can I use the computers to access the Internet?

All 30 computer workstations are available to the public with free Internet access for 1,5 h.

After the expiration of the time limit users may renew their access to the Internet, as many times as they wish, provided there are no other users requesting access.

  • Can I use the computers to type and save my work?
Yes, provided you have your own means of storage (floppy disk, CD-ROM, etc.) to save your work, since you are not permitted to save anything on the library's computers.
  • Can I use the computers to print?
No printing facilities are available in the library.
  • Can I access the library's electronic sources from home?
Only university membership enjoy the right to access remotely electronic resourses, through their individual university electronic account. An individual university electronic account is provided immediately by the "Town University Network Centre" to every new university member.
