Υπάρχουν σήμερα αρκετές μεθοδολογίες διαχείρισης έργων και το αντίστοιχο νομικό & κανονιστικό πλαίσιο. Παρόλα αυτά η υλοποίηση των έργων παραμένει μια γενικά προβληματική δραστηριότητα αφού πολύ συχνά παρατηρούνται υπέρβασεις κόστους και χρόνου ενώ σε πολλά έργα εμφανίζονται μικρότερα ή μεγαλύτερα κατασκευαστικά ελαττώματα, ατυχήματα κ.λπ.

Μπορεί η κατάσταση να βελτιωθεί μέσω της δημιουργίας ανθρώπινων δικτύων Ακαδημαϊκών Ιδρυμάτων, Ερευνητικών/ Τεχνολογικών Φορέων και Επιχειρήσεων που ασχολούνται με τη Διαχείριση Τεχνικών Έργων; Αυτό είναι το θέμα του Συνεδρίου.

Πιο συγκεκριμένα, σκοπός του Συνεδρίου ήταν να λειτουργήσει ως κεντρικό σημείο για την ανακοίνωση σκέψεων, αναγκών, προβληματισμών, σχεδιασμών, έρευνας και αποτελεσμάτων στη διαχείριση τεχνικών έργων πάνω στους παρακάτω (εκδεικτικά) τομείς:

Όλες οι εργασίες κρίθηκαν από τις Συμβουλευτικές Επιτροπές του Συνεδρίου και δημοσιεύτηκαν στα Πρακτικά του.

Στους συμμετέχοντες θα χορηγηθεί Πιστοποιητικό Παρακολούθησης.

Προσκεκλημένος Ομιλητής

Στα πλαίσια του Συνεδρίου προσκλήθηκε ο Καθηγητής Dave Langford, Δ/ντης του Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος του Τμήματος Αρχιτεκτονικής και Οικοδομικής Επιστήμης του Πανεπιστημίου Στραθκλάιντ (University of Strathclyde) της  Γλασκώβης (Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο) και έδωσε ομιλία με τίτλο : "The reformation of the UK construction industry - rhetoric or reality".

Ο Καθηγητής κ. Langford είναι ενεργός ερευνητής στο θεματικό τομέα των κατασκευών τα τελευταία 25 χρόνια. Έχει συγγράψει 11 βιβλία και έχει δημοσιεύσει περισσότερες από 100 εργασίες σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά και συνέδρια.

Το Συνέδριο έγινε στο Αμφιθέατρο των Τοπογράφων στο Αριστοτελείο Πανεπιστημίο Θεσσαλονίκης. Το αμφιθέατρο των Τοπογράφων βρίσκεται δεξιά από τον κυρίως κτίριο των Αγρονόμων & Τοπογράφων Μηχανικών.

Τεχνική Επίσκεψη την Κυριακή 26 Σεπτ.

Αναχώρηση από Θεσσαλονίκη στις 9:30 για τεχνική επίσκεψη στα έργα της Εγνατίας Οδού στην Καστανιά. Η περιοχή της επίσκεψης σημειώνεται με κόκκινο πλαίσιο στον παρακάτω χάρτη

Basic Conference Data

Construction project management is a well developed and accepted domain for professional expertise and academic research and discourse. A number of methodologies and techniques have been developed, covering all aspects of managing projects from their conception to their completion. However, construction project management remains a highly problematical endeavour. A great many construction projects exceed their budget, run late or fail to meet other objectives. 

Can this situation improve by the formation of Communication Channels for Academics, Research/Technology Entities and Enterprises in Construction Project Management? This is the topic of the conference!

The aim of the conference therefore, was to act as a focal point for the dissemination of speculations, needs, research and results in the following (indicative) areas:

All papers were peer-reviewed by the Conference Advisory Committees and published in the conference proceedings.

Keynote Lecture

A keynote lecture was given at the Conference by Professor Dave Langford on  "The reformation of the UK construction industry - rhetoric or reality"

Professor Langford holds the Barr Chair of Construction in the Department of Architecture & Building Science at Strathclyde University. He is the Director of the Graduate School in the Department, has been involved in Construction Research for 25 years and has authored or co-authored 11 books and has published over 100 papers in journals and conferences.

The conference was held at the Rural & Surveying Engineering Lecture Theatre of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. This lecture theatre is on the right-hand side of the main building of the Department of Rural & Surveying Engineering.
