Welcome to Prof. V. K. Koumousis' site.

Here you can find some useful computer programs. You are free to use and distribute them as long as you do not alter their original form.

mySpec

mySpec calculates the response of a SDoF or 2DoF system subjected to seismic or user defined excitation. The models include linear elastic in one and two directions; bilinear inelastic and Bouc Wen. The program is capable of calculating response and response spectrums, producing full set of diagrams; moreover, it can export the results, simulate the response of the system in one or two directions, use various unit systems etc.

myBiaxial

myBiaxial analyzes an arbitrary cross section (consisting of various materials) in biaxial bending and axial load. The program implements a new generic algorithm. myBiaxial is able of constructing interaction curves and moment-curvature diagrams. It can also calculate the deformed configuration under a given set of external stress resultants.

myBWDE

This program uses analytical procedures to calculate the dissipated energy of Bouc-Wen hysteretic systems. The calculation refers to a complete cycle during steady-state response under symmetric cyclic excitation.

myBWID

This program employs evolutionary algorithms for the identification of Bouc-Wen hysteretic systems. Viscous damping can also be identified based on suitable experiments.

myBWMod

This program implements a modified Bouc-Wen model which is compatible with Drucker's and Il'iushin's plasticity postulates.
