myBiaxial

This program analyzes arbitrary cross sections in biaxial bending and axial load using a new generic algorithm developed by Aristotelis E. Charalampakis and Professor Vlasis K. Koumousis at NTUA. The only restriction / assumption is Bernoulli - Euler's assumption that plane sections remain plane after bending. The cross section is defined by curvilinear polygons i.e. polygons with straight and / or curved edges and can be easily imported from a DXF file. The algorithm adopts an analytical integration scheme even for curved objects. The material stress-strain diagram can be constructed from any number and any combination of polynomials (up to cubic). The program can calculate the ultimate strength of the cross section and it can construct moment - curvature diagrams to be used in non linear analyses and interaction curves for design purposes. It can also calculate the deformed state of the cross section for a given set of external stress resultants.
