The Laboratory of Photogrammetry undertook the task of 3D digitizing 30 of the most important
pottery pieces found in the Dispilio Neolithic settlement of Kastoria in Northern Greece. The whole
project was led by the Open University of Cyprus.
For this purpose several contemprary techniques were investigated for the optimum result. Both a
time-of-flight and a structured light scanner were used Most important were the stages of point
cloud processing for the production of the final 3D renderings.
