Has demonstrated over 35 years research and professional experience (since 1974) in Universities, Research Institutes, Government Sector Organizations and Private Companies in Canada, United States, Greece and European countries, engaged in various research projects, development of methodologies and systems and the management of technical works relevant to the use of satellite positioning techniques in geomatics engineering applications. Among others, he held the following positions:

  • Was a member of the team of international technical and information management specialists of the Consortium of three companies, SAGRIC from Australia, CARL BRO from Denmark and EURODYNAMICS from Greece, which provided consulting services for the Hellenic Cadastre Project funded by the EU 3rd Framework Programme. Served as Head, Quality Assurance and Control Section of KTIMATOLOGIO, S.A.

  • Was a Research Associate of the Department of Surveying Engineering, University of New Brunswick, Canada.

  • Was the recipient of a Senior Research Associateship from the U.S. Academy of Science, serving as a member of a reseach team at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Maryland.

  • In the period 1983-1990, served as Head of the Satellite Development Division of the Centre for Surveying, Federal Department of Energy, Mines and Resources Canada.

  • In the period 1991-1992, served as Acting Deputy Director of the Centre for Cartography, Federal Department of Energy, Mines and Resources Canada..

  • Served as President and Member of various Special Working Study Groups of the International Association of Geodesy.

  • Served as Co-investigator in the Canadian Interdisciplinary Team for NASA's Earth Observing System (Eos) Project on the “Use of a Cryospheric System (CRYSYS) to Monitor Global Change in Canada”

The aforementioned expertise and the capability to provide viable, efficient and relevant quality research and development support in diverse Geomatics-related activities has been the result of more than 25-years of industry involvement and cooperation, academic excellence and sound schorarship, and participation in leading research projects with various private and government sector and academic institutions in Canada, USA, Europe and Greece, such as:
