He was born in Athens. Graduated from Leontion Lykion Neas Smyrnis in 1977. Diploma of Rural and Surveying Eng. from Polytechnic School of A.U.Th. in 1982, and Doctor Engineer of INPG (1987). Since 1982 he is working in the area of Reclamation Works. Since 1997 is Lecturer and since 2005 Assistant Professor in the Rural and Surveing Eng. School of NTUA. His research interests are focussed on the broad area of Reclamation Works.

Reclamation Works (Hydrologic simulation in river basins, appraisal of discharge and sediment discharge of river streams, interrelation between soil, water and cultivations, irrigation and drainage of soils, river streams lining, flood protection measures, quality control of irrigation water, systems and methods for irrigation water recycling).
