I obtained my PhD degree from the School of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Athanasios G. Papathanasiou. My research interests lie in the field of computational modeling of wetting phenomena on micro-structured solid surfaces. Such surfaces appear in a variety of living organisms (e.g. butterfly wings) and plants (e.g. lotus leaf), giving them fascinating wetting properties (e.g. directional wetting and self-cleaning ability).
