Personal Interests
I guess the initial reason for building this site was to host my publications and to write down some of my thoughts on risk and my other research interests.I do not plan to update this part of the website any soon. Like all people I have a few hobbies which I do sporadically lately. There are others that I haven't done for ages like bicycling or stamp collecting. I still have my huge collection of stamps and a smaller one of coins but they don't get much of attention.
ART
I like painting - lately using acrylics ('cause I dont have much time) but I prefer the smell of oil paint which I use when I have time ;-) My favorite artist is Wassily Kandinsky . Kandisky was also a founder of Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider), a german Expressionistic movement.
Maybe in the future I will upload some of my works. I dont think that I am a good painter - it's just a hobby. Webpages are created to be seen by somebody - that's you! Like that, art is created to be seen and evoke an emotion and trust me, it is been by those
COMPUTERS
I use computers a lot ! Using the internet to find sources for my research, software to do calculations and so on. I started with programming (Pascal for ever !) in 1994, I think, when I got my first computer, an Hewlett Packard i486/25 Mhz. Anyways, I do a lot of stuff ... that much that I do not have time and space to write about ;_)
MUSIC
Well, I can't play any musical instrument. But I am a huge fun of music. My favorite genres are rock and pop. I can stand jazz and blues too ;-)
FRIENDS
The most important part of my life is interacting with other human beings ;-) I have a lot of friends and I have spend a couple of years being involved in BEST ( Board of European Students of Technology) where I met a lot of people and travelled though Europe.
