 | We need to exchange signed agreements (that the
proposed co-operation will be included in the SOCRATES Institutional Contract). So, please
read on and respond if interested !

Who is eligible?
 | Higher education Institutions from the 15 Member States of the European Union; the
three EEA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and twelve associated countries:
Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Poland, Bulgaria, Estonia,
Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Malta and Cyprus. |
 | The Institution should have (or should be eligible to sign) a Socrates
Institutional Contract. European Projects or International Affairs or European
Union Offices of your Institution should be able to provide more details. In case of
doubt, please send an e-mail to eac-info@cec.eu.int

Project Proposal
 | To exchange students working on their Diploma / MSc Thesis for a period of 3
months. The student will work on this thesis under joint supervision on a subject
of mutual interest. Note that undergraduate students in Athens work normally for a period
of no less than 6 months on their Diploma Thesis. The undergraduate studies last for 5
years (10 semesters) and the Diploma in Engineering awarded is equivalent to the
Master of Science Degree. |
 | To exchange members of staff in order to give lectures on a subject offered by the host
Institution (TS) (note: seminars and open/invited lectures are NOT
eligible). |
 | The Erasmus Subject Code is 06.4 (the European Union
Office of the National Technical University of Athens told me that this Subject Code is a
formality that has no effect on the substance of the intended cooperation) |
What is needed?
 | First download the application form
completed with our details and a draft of our intended cooperation. (To download it on
your hard disk right click on the link above and choose Save Destination) |
 | Fill in the blanks / dots on this application form. |
 | Send us (by e-mail) the completed application
form plus any other form that may be required by your Institution. |
 | Once we have agreed on the final version of the application form, we will exchange
the original signed agreements (one for your Institution signed by us and one for National
Technical University of Athens, signed by your Institution). |
