Feb 23 : Continuous snowfalls at Agios Petros provide us with excellent snow pictures from the weather cam.
Feb 20 : Snowfalls with snowcover in Agios Petros early in the morning.
Snowfalls also in Kifissia with partial snowcover in the higher altitude parts.

Heavy snowfalls with blowing snow. 35-45cm snow coverage.
Total frost at 17th and 18th.

Feb 14 : "COLD WAVE WARNING".
Snowfalls are expected in the Greater Athens region from the evening of Saturday the 16th, getting heavier by the day change and the whole of Sunday the 16th. Below zero temperatures are expected, especially in the Northern suburbs, like Kifissia. Take good care of your solar heaters, water pipes and plants.
Jan 29 : Snowfalls until 3pm, partial snow cover with max height 3cm, ~70% ground coverage.
Jan 28 : Snowfalls after 4pm. Partial snow cover by the end of the day.

Temperatures reaching 40°C are expected from tomorrow, Thursday the 19th, in North and West parts of Greece. Even higher temperatures, reaching 41-42°C, and maybe more, are expected from Sunday the 22nd in most parts of Greece, Athens included, at least until Wednesday the 25th.

-Aug 06, approx 02:00 A small but very "cool" earthquake of 4.0 Richter scale, around 6 km East of Kifissia, in the Penteli mountain area
-Aug 05. A high temp of 37.9 was recorded with the heat index going over 40.0. This temperature is only 0.1 lower of the stations historical (Jan 2003 and on) record high of July's 2003, 38.0.

-May 31. Kifissia's Weather Station welcomes the 53rd Acropolis Rally, the biggest motorsport (and not only) event in Greece. The race starts tomorrow. We plan visiting tomorrow's "shakedown" procedure at mount Parnitha and hope to have a good photo coverage.
