Georgia Mavrogonatou is graduated from the University of Athens. Since 2009, she holds the degree of Doctor of Philosophy of Science and Technology from the National Technical University of Athens. She is associate lecturer in the Hellenic Open University and she teaches at a public high school of Athens. Her research fields are focused on water networks, especially on the water supply of the city of Athens from 1880 until 1940 in regard to the urban history. Her research interests are also the history of technology, history of engineers, urban development and urban infrastructures.
