Dr. Dimitris Mylonas

About me

I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, with a specialization in Active Noise Control. My research interests are focused on the development and optimization of Active Noise Control systems within vehicle cabins, as well as advancements in Active Sound Absorption. Additionally, I explore areas within Physical Acoustics, Audio Signal Processing, and the application of Deep Learning techniques to audio signal analysis.

Before pursuing my PhD, I completed a Master’s Degree in Automation Systems at the National Technical University of Athens. My Master’s thesis, supervised by Prof. Ioannis Antoniadis and Dr. Christos Giakopoulos, focused on Active Noise Control in aircraft cabins.

Additionally, I earned a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from NTUA, where my thesis involved developing gas sensors using thin film techniques. I am currently serving as a Senior Researcher at the Dynamics and Acoustics Laboratory of the National Technical University of Athens.
