Welcome to the Advanced Geodesy Laboratory Research Group in the Department of Surveying Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens! Our group conducts a diverse range of both pure and applied geodetic research at the national and international level by retaining close links with other universities, industry and government, both in Greece, in Europe and overseas. Our research is focused on the use of modern geodetic tools such as the global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), radar and laser altimetry, and state-of-the-art geodetic instrumentation and computer software. We apply visualization techniques to improve monitoring, as well as advanced image and coding techniques for high-speed real- or near-real time processing of geospatially-related data as applied to Earth System Science related applications.
